Ladies and Gentlemen,
We represent Licensing Resource Group,
which is the exclusive licensing agent for Texas A&M University.
Licensing Resource Group has brought to our attention the fact that you are
using the mark “Aggie,” in connection with a dance, and advertise
“Aggie Jitterbug” dance lessons. The mark “Aggie” is exclusively
licensed to Licensing Resource Group.
You have not received consent or
approval for the use of marks exclusively licensed to Licensing Resource
Group. Therefore, your use of “Aggie” is a direct infringement on the
rights of Licensing Resource Group. We consider your infringement to be a
serious intrusion on the rights of our client.
We demand that you immediately cease and
desist in the use of marks exclusively licensed to Licensing Resource Group.
Licensing Resource Group is entitled to an injunction against your use of
marks, compensatory damages for lost businesses, and punitive damages for
willful continued use of the marks, if that is your intention.
If no written assurances are made within
30 days of the date of this letter, we shall seek authorization from our
client to have legal action brought against you for trademark infringement.
